Should You Tuck In Your Scrub Top?
A tucked-in scrub top can look neat in the mirror. But will it work once your shift starts?
If your workplace leaves the choice to you, two quick checks can help.
Keep your pockets within reach
Use your top’s lower pockets for pens or other essentials? Leaving it untucked is a practical starting point. Tucking the top in can hide the openings or make them harder to reach.
Prefer a tucked look? Make sure your pants have room for what you carry, without cramming everything into one pocket.
Check the fabric at your waist
A longer top can bunch under a waistband. A shorter one may pull loose when you reach up. With scrubs you already own, sit, bend and raise your arms to see how the fabric moves. If you keep smoothing or retucking your top, try leaving it out. When shopping for a new one, check its length and pocket placement.
The best choice keeps your pockets useful and your waist comfortable, with less adjusting throughout the day.
